Meet Oascha

My Story

In 2014, I graduated from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor in Communications Analysis and Practice. I had dreams of becoming a lawyer, but after a string of unfortunate events, I landed my forever career in Applied Behavior Analysis. Shortly after graduation, I earned a job as a classroom teacher, where I worked hands-on with children with autism. Upon my exit from the school program, I continued to work in the field and worked in-home for a small company in Columbus, Ohio. During this time, I provided 1:1 therapy for children with varying levels of autism.

In 2017, I graduated with a Master's in Education with an Emphasis on ABA. I also earned my Yoga Teacher 200 training certification. I utilized the skills learned in my master's in combination with my yoga background to overcome life's many obstacles. I continued my career in ABA in Southern Florida, where I worked in foster care, abused neglected homes, and at-risk families, providing parent education and support. My primary role was to empower parents with meaningful behavior change protocols to reunify their families, support foster homes with behavior strategies and work 1:1 with children in foster care or working on reunification with their parents.

I have continued my career in Ohio as a contract BCBA assisting many organizations in their pursuit of compassionate and ethical services.

In 2021, I began my doctoral journey, where I am working towards my Ph.D. in Special Education. The research and work I am pursuing in this program will continue to develop my skills as an ACT practitioner focused on parent and educator psychological flexibility. I am also pursuing my 500-hour yoga teacher training certification with dreams of becoming a licensed yoga therapist.

As of 2023, I am in my last year of classes, operate my Yoga studio, and contract part-time as I continue to provide private consulting to parents.
